The gurus who tell you to just believe in yourself. That everything comes down to how bad you want it. Or that outcomes don’t matter, because all you should worry about is the process.
It’s evolved into sneaky suggestions for quick fixes.
Just get in a cold plunge, and you’ll learn to do hard things. Breath work alone gives you complete control of your nervous system. Write your affirmations down, pump your arms and shout them out loud, and you’ll perform better.
It’s all crap.
If someone promises you a fast fix — in this space — stay away.
High performance is simple, but not easy. It won’t happen overnight, by getting cold, or using nonsense interventions that have come about from a popular figure.
To get there, you still need the fundamentals:
regular practice
feedback from a coach
dedicated mindset training
And then, you need science-backed tools for overcoming your unique hurdles.
