You might make it through one or two games or a week or two at the office.
But sooner or later, that torn ACL won't hold up as you run up and down the court. That emotional exhaustion will turn into fatigue that makes it hard to show up to work.
Wellness is the foundation of performance.
If you want to sustain high performance over the long term and raise your game, you have to learn foundational skills to take care of yourself and support your well-being.
You can't perform well consistently if you don't feel well consistently.
A good foundation of well-being includes regularly moving your body, eating well, connecting with a community, and cultivating a sense of play.
Committing to each of these practices on a daily or weekly basis will help you sustain your energy, learn more, and develop faster. In turn, you'll both feel better and perform better.
It's an upward spiral.
Pick one of the wellness activities you can do, and schedule it into your week.
That’s it - make your wellness a priority this week!
